Le jeans. par William Blais is a reinterpretation of Denim upcycling. Making it modern, ecofriendly and fashion.
The real meaning of upcycling
Why do we upcycle, is it just a trend or does it have a real meaning? This was the question that started this project. Challenged to create an eco-friendly jacket, William went through the his school lost clothes and denim garments, to create and modern denim jacket. Made with 100% donated jeans, William created something unique, to his image, using the most polluting material, denim. This goes to illustrate and to question our consumption of clothes.
This was William first ever denim creation. The donated jeans were carefully selected, these jeans are mostly coton, allowing a personnalized monogram to be laser-printed on the fabric.

Oriented to Women’s wear, this coat is decorated with 12 jeans buttons and a “made out of scarps” belt, making sure to use every single inch of those jeans.
